Beta-blockers and Calcium Channel Blockers: Used to manage high blood pressure, arrhythmias, or heart failure by regulating heart rate and improving heart function. Diuretics: Help reduce fluid buildup in the body, which can result from heart failure. ACE Inhibitors and Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers (ARBs): Help relax blood vessels, reduce blood pressure, and decrease the workload on the heart. Antiarrhythmic Drugs: Manage abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias), ensuring that the heart beats properly. Anticoagulants (Blood Thinners): Prevent blood clots in patients with certain heart conditions, such as congenital heart defects or arrhythmias. Prostaglandins: Used in newborns with certain congenital heart defects to keep the ductus arteriosus (a blood vessel) open until corrective surgery can be performed.
